The seven stars of the “Big Dipper”, at the upper end of the Ursa Major are the most popular constellation and are clearly visible with the naked eye throughout the year in the night sky over central Europe. Their reflection in the Lago di Como, accompanied by a nighttime air of earthy roots and the fresh smell of the river gushing into the lake is of overwhelming beauty. The 250 meter long “Fiumelatte” river flows from March to October, depending on the state of its source which is an underground pool of water. This rocky place of mystery is reminiscent of a lunar landscape in cosmic darkness.
Ursa describes the tortuous path from the source to the lake with a determined composition that protects and warms like the guiding hand that leads a wanderer to safety.
